Custom challenge coins are solid metal coins made from a mold of your design, with a different design on each side, raised metal detail, and enamel color. Match Point Promotions makes custom coins for teams, clubs, tournaments, schools, and companies to recognize players, mark championships and anniversaries, and thank sponsors and staff.

Each coin is die cast from zinc alloy, about 3 mm thick, and plated in gold, silver, copper, or black nickel. Every order starts with a free digital mockup and arrives within 4–5 weeks after payment.

What Are Custom Challenge Coins?

Challenge coins began as a military tradition: a coin that showed you belonged to a unit, carried and presented with pride. Today teams, clubs, schools, and companies use custom coins the same way, as a keepsake that says someone earned their place.

A custom coin is die cast in metal from a mold of your artwork, so your logo, lettering, and mascot stand out in raised metal detail. Plating and enamel color finish the design, and the solid metal gives the coin real weight in the hand.

Material: Die-cast zinc alloy, about 3 mm thick
Two sides: A different design on the front and back
Size: Most coins are 1.75 to 2 inches (45–50 mm) across, and we can make them from about 1 inch up to 4 inches
Color: Soft enamel color fill, hard enamel for a smooth polished face at the same price, or full-color printing for photos and gradients
Plating: Gold, silver, or copper in a shiny or antique finish, black nickel, or two-tone
Detail: Raised metal detail for logos and lettering, or 3D sculpted relief for mascots, portraits, and crests
Edge: Smooth, or a rope-cut, diamond-cut, or other textured edge
Shape: Round, square, shield, or a custom shape, with optional cutouts
Packaging: Each coin individually bagged, with coin capsules, velvet pouches, and velvet boxes available
Mockup: Free digital mockup with unlimited revisions, with no payment until you approve the artwork

Minimum order: 100 coins per design. A one-time $150 setup fee applies to orders under 300 coins. Price breaks apply at 200, 300, 500, and 1,000 coins (see the pricing table above). Prices are for coins up to 2 inches with soft or hard enamel color on both sides, and include antique finishes and shipping to one US address.

Your quote includes any options you choose, such as 3D detail, a custom shape, or gift packaging.

What metal finishes are available?

Coins come in gold, silver, or copper, each in a shiny or antique finish, plus black nickel and two-tone. Antique finishes darken the recessed areas so raised detail stands out, and shiny finishes give a bright, polished look.

What edge, shape, and packaging options are there?

Coins can have a smooth edge or a rope-cut, diamond-cut, or other textured edge. Most are round, but we can also make square, shield, and custom shapes, with cutouts through the coin if your design calls for them. Each coin comes individually bagged, and coin capsules, velvet pouches, and velvet boxes are available for gifts and awards.

Can I order coins with more than one design?

Yes. Each design is made from its own mold, so each design is priced as its own run. Tell us how many of each design you need when you request a quote.
